Scottish Police College

An afternoon visit has been arranged to the Scottish Police College by kind permission of the Director, Mr David Garbutt QPM, at 2 pm on Tuesday 17 September. All Scottish Police recruits undertake practical and theoretical training here, and the tour will be led by Chief Inspector Andrew McDonald. It will include demonstrations of modern police methods, including communications and IT, interviewing practice and incident role play with the police students. Refreshments will be laid on.

Transport in a fleet of private cars will be arranged to rendezvous in the Police College car park at 1:45pm. Places are limited, so early intimation is urged, Fellows who wish to attend, (in particular those who are able to offer space in their cars) are asked to contact John Lovell (phone 0131 441 4209, or email jhlovell@talk21.com)

Access to the College is via M9 towards Stirling, cross the Kincardine Bridge to Kincardine, then take the A977 towards Kinross. The College is about a mile on the right.
